Concept2 Indoor Rowing Machine Review

By Anne Victor

I was never really enthralled about the sport of indoor rowing until I tested out a Concept2 Indoor Rower. Like mast other forms of aerobic workout equipment you notice at a fitness center, I assumed a rowing machine would be dull and not provide any muscle-building advantages.

I was not right about that

What I realized was that indoor rowers provide many different exercise routines. They keep individuals from getting burnt out, meaning they are most likely to continue their exercise routine. Whether you are trying to drop weight or gain muscle or both, you will get results faster when you workout regularly.

They are also really convenient. I did not realize how light-weight and easy one of these machines was to relocate until I picked it up and carried it across the room. I was able to do it almost effortlessly with one hand. I was really surprised. This aspect alone made me think it would be the perfect piece of home workout equipment. I would be able to easily move it from room to room and afterwards store it out of view when I was not using it.

I also had no problems listening to music or viewing a great movie while exercising. I confess, sometimes I look for a distraction or an escape while I am exercising. With a loud piece of exercise equipment, you can't hear music or watch a movie. Sometimes this means that I will not workout at all.

When I used to jog often, I would complete an exercise then have to integrate a strength-building regimen for my arms. With the C2 Indoor Rower, I don't have to do that. All major muscle groups get a good workout on the rower, and in less time.

This gives me more time to do other things that I want to do. It likewise offers me even more motivation to workout on a rower, since I realize that it will get me more results faster than other alternative workout regimens.

As you can see, I am a big fan of this rowing machine, however, there is one more thing I wish to point out. I enjoy working out outside. Generally I don't prefer indoor workout classes or health clubs. Nevertheless, since the C2 is so lightweight and easy to move around, I simply roll it outside and take advantage of exercising in the sunlight. If this is a concern that you are thinking about, you don't have to be.

If you're thinking of investing in home workout equipment, like an indoor rower, test one out initially. Many fitness centers have them, or your neighborhood exercise equipment shop might let you test drive one. Then, you can shop online to find the lowest priced deal on the machine you want.
