salamon to prevent the negative effects of junk food on the brain

Data from more than 180 research suggests that fish oil could minimize the effects of junk food on the brain, as demonstrated from a review compiled by researchers at the University of Liverpool and published in the journal "British Journal of Nutrition."
The team Intituto Aging and Chronic Disease University reviewed studies that have been done around the world to see if there was insufficient data available to say that omega-3 helped with weight loss.
The investigations of the last ten years have shown that diets rich in fat could affect neurogenesis, a process that creates new nerve cells. But diets high in omega 3 could prevent these negative effects by stimulating the brain area that controls feeding, learning and memory.
185 data studies revealed, however, fish oils do not have a direct impact on the process in these brain areas, but is likely to play an important role in stopping refined sugars and fats ability to inhibit the brain's control of food intake.
"Body weight is influenced by many factors and some of the most important nutrients we consume. Excessive intake of certain macronutrients, refined sugars and saturated fats found in junk food can lead to weight gain, alter metabolism and even affect mental processing, "says Dr. Lucy Pickavance, the Institute on Aging and Chronic Disease of the University of Liverpool.
"These changes can be seen in the brain structure, including its ability to generate new nerve cells, which potentially obesity associated with neurodegenerative diseases. The research, however, suggests that fish oil omega-3 can reverse or even prevent it. We wanted to investigate the literature on this topic to determine whether there is evidence that omega-3 can help you lose weight by stimulating certain brain processes ", says Dr. Pickavance.
The study showed that a diet rich in fats, hormones that are secreted by the body's tissues to the circulation after eating, and that normally protect neurons and stimulate their growth, they can not reach the brain by increasing molecules inflammatory and a type of fat called triglycerides.
The molecules that stimulate nerve growth also reduced, but it seems that, according to animal studies, omega-3 restored normal function by interfering with the production of these inflammatory molecules, triglycerides and returning removing nerve growth factors to the normal.
"Fish oils appear to have a direct impact on weight loss, but can stop the harmful effects of some of the processes in the brain triggered by the intake of fats. Appear to mimic the effects of low-calorie diets to include more fish oil in our diets could be a positive step for those who want to improve their overall health, "says Dr. Pickavance.
